Job summary

Norwalk Public Schools in Norwalk, CT seeks a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Paraeducator to support students with IEP goals under supervision of a BCBA. You will implement ABA-based interventions, collect data, and help students access general and special education settings.

Responsibilities include executing IEP goals, recording progress, maintaining data accuracy in the district data system, and collaborating with the special education team to monitor progress and adjust supports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent high school diploma with ParaPro.
• Two or more years under the direct documented clinical supervision of a BCBA with RBT certification.
• Specific experience working with students with high management needs.
• Willingness to participate in district PD, continuing education and/or training.
• Background check and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing IEP goals and ABA-based interventions.
• Collect and record data per the Behavior Intervention Plan and IEP.
• Enter data into the district's electronic data collection system.
• Assist in reviewing data for progress monitoring and reporting trends to the department.
• Support students to participate in general and special education settings.
