Job summary

Gersh Autism seeks a compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to work with students diagnosed with ASD under BCBA supervision. You will provide one-on-one instruction, behavioral support, and social skills training to help students reach individualized goals.

This role requires an active RBT certification and prepares you for ongoing supervision and professional development within a 12-month school program in Brooklyn, NY.

Qualifications

• Current RBT certification required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team with staff, families and students.
• Patience, flexibility, and a passion for working with students with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Implement BIPs and IEPs as directed by the BCBA.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support in classrooms and school settings.
• Collect and record data on student behaviors and progress with accuracy.
• Assist in teaching strategies to support academic, social, and behavioral development.
• Conduct behavior management and interventions to reduce challenging behaviors.
• Support daily living skills, including communication and self-regulation.
• Collaborate with teachers and school team to create a supportive learning environment.
• Participate in ongoing RBT supervision sessions with the BCBA.
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all duties.
