Job summary

Gersh Autism Brooklyn, NY is seeking a compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to work with students with ASD under BCBA supervision. You will provide one-on-one instruction, behavior support, and social skills training within a 12-month school program, with Monday–Friday hours from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM and a once-weekly 4:00 PM team meeting.

Qualifications

• Active RBT certification (must be active to qualify).
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• Experience with ASD or in special education setting.
• Ability to implement BIPs/IEPs under BCBA guidance.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Professionalism with students, families, and colleagues.
• Confidentiality and adherence to school policies.

Responsibilities

• Implement BIPs and IEPs as directed by BCBA.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support in class.
• Accurately collect and record data on student progress.
• Assist in teaching strategies for academic, social, and behavior development.
• Use behavior management to reduce challenges and increase adaptive behaviors.
• Support daily living skills and self-regulation tasks.
• Collaborate with staff to create supportive learning environments.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and supervision.
