Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician for a contract role near Tacoma, WA, to support students' behavioral and academic growth within a school setting. The position requires current RBT certification, experience with children in educational or therapeutic settings, knowledge of ABA, strong communication and documentation skills, and the ability to adapt to school routines.

Collaboration with staff and families is essential.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
• Experience with children or adolescents in educational, behavioral, or therapeutic contexts.
• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and strategies.
• Ability to develop rapport quickly with students, staff, and families.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability within school routines.
• Capacity for patience, compassion, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under supervision of a BCBA or supervising clinician.
• Collect and record behavioral data accurately throughout the school day.
• Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to promote positive behavioral changes.
• Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support consistent implementation of behavior strategies.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development and ongoing training as needed.
• Assist with transition and generalization of behavioral skills within classroom, hallway, and other school settings.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and regulatory guidelines.
