Job summary

Family Resource Center in Findlay is seeking a School Navigator to coordinate prevention services with local schools, youth and families. This grant-funded role operates under the Prevention Supervisor to connect youths in need with community resources.

You will travel within the community using SBIRT concepts, deliver trainings, make referrals to internal and external programs, and support families and schools in crisis situations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with youth in an educational setting.
• Valid driver's license and ability to maintain auto insurance.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office and HRIS/EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with schools to provide resources and prevention services.
• Implement prevention curricula within the school system.
• Coordinate support in crisis situations.
• Conduct informational sessions and trainings for School Support Providers.
• Complete referrals and link families to appropriate services for themselves and/or their children provided by additional organizational programs, external service providers, and other community resources.
• Utilize SBIRT approach: screening, brief intervention, and referrals for treatment for individuals referred.
