Job summary

Family Resource Center of Northwest Ohio is seeking a School Navigator to work with youth and families in Findlay, OH. The role involves coordinating prevention services within schools, providing resources, and facilitating referrals across community programs.

The position requires prior experience with youth in education settings, a valid driver’s license for local travel, CPR/First Aid certification, and comfort using Microsoft Office, HRIS, and EHR systems.

Qualifications

• HSD/GED required.
• Previous experience working with youth in an educational setting preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain auto insurance for community travel.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred; willing to submit background check and fingerprinting.
• Able to regularly use computer apps including Microsoft Office, HRIS, EHR, and other online systems.

Responsibilities

• Implement youth substance abuse prevention and community services.
• Implement prevention curricula within the school system.
• Coordinate support in crisis situations.
• Conduct informational sessions and trainings for School Support Providers.
• Complete referrals and link families to services provided by organizational programs, external providers, and community resources.
• Utilize SBIRT approach: screening, brief intervention, and referrals for treatment.
