BBH Burrell Behavioral Health in Springfield, MO, seeks a School Based Navigator to connect students with behavioral health services and coordinate referrals with schools. You will guide families through insurance and funding options, schedule intake, and ensure timely access to care within a collaborative community framework.

You will maintain documentation, support ongoing verifications, and work with billing, HIM, and quality teams to meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Knowledge of mental health systems and school-based service models.
• Ability to coordinate support services and documentation.
• Proficiency in electronic health records and telephonic communication.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate student referrals and connect families to behavioral health services.
• Guide families through insurance verification, Medicaid screening, funding options, and enrollment processes.
• Schedule intake appointments and connect students to appropriate services when school-based care is not available.
• Build collaborative relationships with school personnel, families, and community partners to support student success.
• Connect families with community resources and crisis services when needed.
• Maintain accurate intake, eligibility, and compliance documentation within electronic health record systems.
• Support ongoing insurance verification and documentation updates to ensure continued access to services during treatment.
• Collaborate with Billing, HIM, Quality, and other teams to meet regulatory and operational requirements.
• Answer incoming calls and provide administrative support to school-based service teams.
• Maintain compliance with privacy, confidentiality, security, and ethical standards.
• Participate in training, team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and professional development activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned
