Job summary

Candor Consulting & Diagnostics is seeking a school-based Physical Therapist Assistant to support students under a licensed Physical Therapist. The role focuses on improving mobility, independence, and learning access in the school setting.

Responsibilities include implementing IEP-based interventions, documenting progress, and collaborating with educators and specialists to support student success. APTA-aligned, student-centered care is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Active licensure through the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
• Current CPR certification.
• School-based or pediatric experience preferred, but not required.
• Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implement therapy services and interventions outlined in student IEPs.
• Assist with activities to improve functional mobility and participation in school.
• Document student progress and maintain accurate service records.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists, educators, and special education teams.
• Assist with adaptive equipment, positioning, and mobility recommendations.
• Participate in ARD meetings and team discussions as appropriate.
• Support a positive, student-centered educational environment.
