Qualifications include a Master’s degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy, APTA certification or eligibility, and state licensure or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Certification from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or eligibility for certification.
• State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a physical therapist.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized PT services to students with disabilities or injuries to support participation in school activities.
• Assess students' physical abilities to inform access and engagement.
• Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals.
• Implement interventions to improve motion, mobility, and school participation.
• Develop IEP goals and objectives for student progress.
• Document therapy sessions and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with school team members to ensure integrated services.
