Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Active license by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive Physical Therapy evaluations using standardized tools and student-centered assessments to determine the need for specialized services in alignment with Texas education standards.
• Communicate findings with parents, educators, and district personnel, offering clear, actionable recommendations that promote students' access to education and functional independence.
• Develop evidence-based, individualized therapeutic interventions with the IEP team addressing student-specific needs and functional goals.
• Provide direct therapy or supervise PTAs in implementing IEP goals.
• Monitor progress by collecting and analyzing data, maintaining records for IEP reviews and service planning.
• Actively participate in ARD meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and multidisciplinary discussions to advocate for students.
