Job summary

Community Mental Health Affiliates, Inc. is seeking a full-time Peer Navigator in Waterbury, CT to provide outreach and recovery-focused support to clients with behavioral health and substance use needs.

The role involves coordinating services, mentoring clients, and liaising with ERs, detox, and treatment facilities. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and a Recovery Coach certification (CCAR).

Qualifications

• Experience and competencies centered on client engagement, crisis response, and outreach.

Responsibilities

• Provides initial and ongoing outreach and support to potential and current clients.
• Engages in traditional and recovery-oriented systems navigation and coordination of services.
• Develops person-centered recovery goals and liaises with local emergency rooms and treatment facilities.
• Maintains timely documentation in CMHA policy-compliant systems.
• Carries a caseload and supports families and natural supports.
