Job summary

Community Mental Health Affiliates (CMHA) is hiring a Full-time Peer Navigator for the Adult Outpatient Program, located at 233 Main St., New Britain, CT and 255 Bank St., Waterbury, CT. Hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm. Starting pay is $18.00 per hour, with benefits and PTO.

Role includes outreach, recovery coaching, and coordination with local care facilities. Requirements include HS diploma or GED; Recovery Coach certification (CCAR) preferred; DMV license preferred; 1–2 years’ related

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Recovery Coach certification (CCAR) or Recovery University graduate preferred.
• DMV license preferred; military experience valued.
• 1–2 years of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Offer outreach and support to clients with behavioral health needs.
• Develop person-centered recovery goals and educate clients.
• Coordinate with emergency rooms, detox centers and treatment facilities.
• Engage in wrap-around services, systems navigation and advocacy.
• Maintain timely documentation per CMHA policies.
• Collaborate with care team to support client engagement and treatment planning.
