Job summary

Recovery Network Of Programs in Bridgeport, CT, is seeking a dedicated Recovery Coach to provide peer support to individuals and families affected by substance use disorders. You will operate within a team, link clients to recovery activities, and assist with crisis intervention as needed.

The role requires certification as a Recovery Coach and lived recovery experience, with a schedule Monday–Friday and local travel within the Bridgeport area.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Recovery Coach is required.
• Lived experience in stable recovery is required.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and ethics.

Responsibilities

• Provides recovery support using a self-directed, strength-based approach.
• Links individuals to recovery activities and helps overcome obstacles to recovery.
• Serves as guide and mentor for participants and families.
• Provides on-call crisis intervention and stabilization.
• Identifies client crises and initiates action in consultation with supervisor.
• Offers information and links to services and resources, including self-help groups and employment services.
• Maintains communication with community providers and builds recovery support networks.
• Adheres to documentation and reporting requirements.
• Prepares supervision agendas and uses supervision to meet goals.
• Travels within Bridgeport, CT area using personal vehicle.
• Assumes other duties as assigned by supervisor.
