Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring School Personal Care Assistants to support students in the Unionville-Chadds Ford area. You will provide one-on-one support, assist with classroom participation, and help students meet educational goals on a school-day schedule.

Starting at $18+ per hour with weekly pay, this role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, no evenings, or major holidays, and benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) savings plan, and ongoing

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with children or individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Successful completion of background checks, onboarding and training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to assigned student(s) throughout the school day.
• Assist students in participating successfully in classroom activities.
• Support implementation of IEPs and BIPs.
• Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning and adaptive equipment as needed.
• Provide personal care assistance, including toileting and hygiene support.
• Observe and report changes in student behavior, health, or performance.
• Reinforce positive behaviors and assist with redirection as necessary.
• May accompany students during transportation or school activities as assigned.
