Job summary

PRO is seeking a School-Based Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support K-12 students in Malvern, PA through the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU). This full-time, 10-month school-year role follows a traditional school day schedule.

You’ll provide individualized student support, assist with classroom activities and transitions, help with daily living tasks, support behavior management, and collaborate with teachers and therapists to meet IEP goals while keeping confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher required.
• Minimum 6 months experience with children in school/daycare setting.
• Comfortable using a computer.
• Ability to complete clinical documentation to school district standards.
• Current clearances within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support to students based on educational and behavioral needs.
• Assist with classroom activities, transitions, and engagement in learning.
• Support behavior management strategies as directed by teachers.
• Help with daily living tasks such as mobility, toileting, feeding, and communication.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to support IEP goals.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies.
