Job summary

PRO is seeking a School-Based Personal Care Assistant (PCA) for a 10-month, full-time position in West Chester, PA. The PCA will work during the school day, with pay based on hours worked, serving K-12 students across Autistic Support, Multiple Disabilities, and Life Skills classrooms.

Responsibilities include providing individualized student support, assisting with classroom activities, managing behavior, and helping with daily living tasks.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or higher is required.
• A minimum of 6 months recent experience working with children in a school or daycare setting is required.
• Must be comfortable using a computer.
• Must be able to complete clinical documentation to school district standards.
• Current clearances (within 6 months)

• Support with behavior management strategies as directed by the teacher or behavioral team.

• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to support the student’s IEP goals.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and procedures.

Location: West Chester, PA through the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU)

Schedule:Full-time, 10-month position. M-F school day hours. Hourly position; you are only paid for the hours that you work

Caseload: K-12, Autistic Support, Multiple Disabilities, and Life Skills classrooms

Additional Details: PCAs will provide services during the school calendar year and will follow the school calendar for days off, holidays, etc. Summers are off; ESY may be available but is not guaranteed.

What you’ll do as a PCA.
