Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state license to practice occupational therapy in the state of employment.
• NBCOT certification, when required.
• Eligibility for any state educational credential or school-based certification.
• Experience with severe disabilities and autism.
• Criminal-background and fingerprint clearances.
• Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, IEP development, progress monitoring, and school-based related services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and reevaluations using standardized assessments and observations.
• Develop measurable, educationally relevant IEP goals and objectives.
• Provide individual, small-group, classroom-based, and consultative OT services.
• Implement interventions supporting handwriting, sensory regulation, executive functioning, and daily living skills.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate OT strategies into classroom routines.
• Assist with transition planning for increased independence and vocational programming.
• Maintain therapy equipment, supplies, and documentation with accuracy.
