Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in occupational therapy, NBCOT Certification and/or state certification as specified in the contract.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with adults and students.

Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy intervention for students to support fine motor skills per IEP/ISP.
• Monitor student progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Test and evaluate students when requested to determine need for therapy.
• Consult with classroom teachers to align therapy with educational goals.
• Communicate with parents regularly about progress and home activities.
• Develop solutions to challenges for individual students based on best practices.
• Make referrals to community resources as needed.
• Complete required paperwork in a timely and organized manner.
• Other duties may be assigned.
