Qualifications

• Must hold a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy and be licensed or eligible for licensure in the employing state.
• NBCOT certification is required or must be pursued as dictated by assignment.
• CPR and First Aid certifications may be required by the school or state.
• Experience with IDEA/IEP processes and school-based service delivery is essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct school-based occupational therapy evaluations and reevaluations.
• Develop measurable IEP goals and provide direct, consultative OT services.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and related-service staff to support student participation.
• Implement handwriting, tool use, executive functioning, and self-regulation interventions.
• Monitor progress, document treatment notes, and prepare required reports.
• Assist with transition planning and adaptation of environments for participation.
