Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. seeks an Occupational Therapist to provide services to students eligible for OT under their IEP/ISP. The OT may also conduct assessments in line with state and district requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in occupational therapy (bachelor or master) per state/contract.
• NBCOT Certification and/or state certification as specified.
• Ability to work independently; motivated and organized.
• Good communication skills with adults and students.

Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy intervention for students based on IEP/ISP goals.
• Monitor student progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Test and evaluate students if requested to determine OT need.
• Consult with classroom teachers to ensure OT plans address educational needs.
• Communicate with parents regularly about progress and home activities.
• Create solutions to challenges for individual students based on research and professional judgment.
• Make referrals to community resources as needed.
• Complete required paperwork in a timely and organized manner.
• Other duties may be assigned.
