Job summary

The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Mental Health Professional I to deliver school-based services at Batesburg-Leesville Primary and Elementary Schools in Lexington County. You will perform clinical assessments, individual and group therapies, and crisis intervention with a focus on access to care and continuity of services.

You will work under supervision, pursue professional development, and maintain up-to-date documentation in line with BHDDP

Qualifications

• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in SC and willing to work towards licensure in SC within first six months of employment.
• Ability to lift 5lbs and operate a state vehicle.
• Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assessments, individual, family & group treatment, plus crisis intervention services for assigned patients.
• Participate in supervision, treatment team meetings, and pursue professional development; utilize evidence-based practices.
• Complete documentation per QA/BHDD standards and ensure timely prior authorizations.
