Job summary

BHDD - Office of Mental Health in Lexington County seeks a School Based Mental Health Professional I to provide embedded counseling services for Lexington/Richland School District 5. You will assess, treat, and support students with behavioral health needs within the school setting.

Under supervision you will deliver individual, family, and group therapy, maintain documentation, and participate in supervision and training to ensure high-quality care in line with CARF standards and BHDD-OMH

Qualifications

• Master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assessments, individual, family & group treatment, and crisis intervention with direct service hours per year.
• Participate in clinical supervision and treatment team meetings; pursue professional development and evidence-based practices.
• Provide consultation and training on mental health issues to schools and community partners; respond to non-patient mental health crises.
