Job summary

State of South Carolina seeks a Mental Health Professional I to provide school-based mental health services in Batesburg-Leesville, embedded in local primary and elementary schools. You will deliver assessments, individual and family therapy, crisis intervention, and collaborate with school staff to support student wellness.

The role requires a master's degree in counseling or social sciences, SC licensure or eligibility, and willingness to travel between sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in guidance, counseling, or the social sciences.
• Licensed or eligible for SC licensure within six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assessments, individual, family and group treatment, and crisis intervention.
• Coordinate supervision, meetings and professional development; apply evidence-based practices.
• Consult with schools and community partners on mental health issues as needed.
• Complete documentation per QA/BHDD standards and ensure prior authorizations.
• Complete annual required trainings and adhere to CARF, BHDD and Center policies.
