Job summary

WHITE MOUNTAIN APACHE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES, INC. is seeking a School Coach I to provide therapeutic services to children and adolescents, coordinating after-school and summer activities as part of the School Enrichment program.

You will collaborate with the clinical team to address acute needs including trauma and safety planning. The role requires strong communication, ability to engage families, and a trauma-informed approach.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to speak Apache preferred.
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with a wide range of people.
• MS Office proficiency and ability to operate standard office equipment.
• Valid Arizona Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing (fingerprint, drug screen, background).

Responsibilities

• Manages a caseload of clients who would benefit from behavioral health services.
• Provides therapeutic services assistance to ABHS clinical staff, including outreach and coordination.
• Facilitates group/individual skill training and education programs with ABHS clinician.
• Delivers services at clinic, community sites, shelters, facilities, hospitals, and client homes as needed.
• Documents client contact to assess needs and maintain required paperwork; engages families.
• Provides prevention education presentations, workshops, and other mental health topics.
