Job summary

United Community & Family Services, Inc. is seeking a Behavioral Health Clinician to provide clinical counseling in a fast-paced high school setting. The role requires collaboration with licensed supervisors and maintains 40 hours per week, year-round.

The position emphasizes evidence-based practices, documentation, and coordination with schools, DCF, DMHAS, CT-BHP, and Medicaid. Spanish fluency is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required (M.A., M.F.T., M.S.W).
• 2 years of experience with children/adolescents OR 4 years transferrable school-based experience.
• CT state LMSW, LPC-A or MFTA on hire; eligible for LCSW/LMFT/LPC.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assessment and treatment in a school-based setting with evidence-based practices.
• Monitor and document progress toward short- and long-term goals.
• Maintain documentation to agency, payer, and licensing standards.
• Assess risk and determine appropriate level of care for crisis cases.
• Coordinate referrals and communicate with school personnel and external partners.
• Participate in clinical supervision and maintain licensure.
