Job summary

Community Health Center is seeking a Behavioral Health Clinician – Licensed SBHC to provide diagnostic assessments, treatment planning and therapy within a school-based clinic in North Haven. The role emphasizes direct client care with collaboration across psychiatric and medical teams, documentation, and adherence to policy and regulatory standards.

The position follows a school calendar (195 days/year) and requires strong clinical skills in individual, group and family therapy, crisis

Qualifications

• Licensed clinician in CT with the required credential(s) or eligible for licensure within 3 years.
• Experience in outpatient mental health with children and/or adults preferred.
• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team and coordinate with medical colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Completes initial behavioral health evaluations and provides individual, group, or family therapy.
• Runs multiple therapy groups weekly and collaborates with care teams.
• Documents clinical interventions per CHC policy and state/joint commission standards.
• Coordinates with psychiatric consultants for diagnostic and medication needs as appropriate.
• Maintains safety planning, crisis intervention, and treatment efficacy monitoring.
