Job summary

Brightli seeks a School Based Support Specialist to deliver intensive outpatient case management for youth in a school setting, helping students succeed academically, at home, and in the community. Services are provided during school hours, with home/community support as needed.

The role involves coordinating with schools, families, and providers, maintaining client-centered care, and complying with agency protocols while supporting ongoing staff development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, behavioral health, or related field OR relevant alternative with related experience.
• Qualifying experience includes one-on-one or group services focused on recovery/resilience and teaching coping skills.
• Illinois-specific qualifications apply for IL-based roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral health interventions aligned with treatment goals in school-based settings.
• Support students' coping strategies, social-emotional functioning, and daily life skills.
• Coordinate care with schools, families, and other service providers.
• Manage an assigned caseload with timely documentation and effective services.
• Provide crisis intervention and outreach for missed appointments.
• Conduct home visits and community outreach as needed.
