Job summary

Soliant is seeking a Behavior Support Specialist in Newark, DE for the full school year. This on-site role provides building-level behavioral support to staff across elementary, high school, and vocational settings in a Newark district.

You will collaborate with School Psychologists to develop interventions, conduct FBAs, design BIPs, train staff, collect data, attend IEP meetings, and provide crisis support while managing multiple responsibilities independently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Strong foundation in ABA principles.
• K-12 experience with behavioral needs preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Delaware Instructional Paraprofessional Permit required.

Responsibilities

• Provide building-level behavioral support to staff.
• Collaborate with School Psychologists to develop interventions and strategies.
• Provide staff training, consultation, and modeling of behavior strategies.
• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs).
• Develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
• Collect and analyze behavioral data for data-driven decisions.
• Attend IEP meetings and collaborate with parents, School Psychologists, and BCBA staff.
• Provide crisis support for students.
