Job summary

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Ability to interact positively with students.
• Ability to assist students in a variety of situations that may arise.

Responsibilities

• Track behaviors of students identified by SST through MTSS.
• Work with students with behavioral or emotional problems.
• Track student contracts for completion and signatures.
• Promote positive behaviors and help de-escalate negative behaviors.
• Collaborate with teachers, social workers and school psychologists.
• Check on students to prevent problems and reinforce positive behavior.
• Provide direct behavioral support by prompting, redirecting and encouraging positive behavior.
• Support students in classrooms, hallways, lunchrooms, assemblies, library and recess.
• Assist and support students in crisis.
• Collect required data and share with SST as needed.
