Job summary

Granite School District in Taylorsville, Utah is seeking Paraeducators & Instructional Assistants/Behavior Health Assistant (BHA) to support students with behavioral and educational needs. This part-time role requires regular presence in the classroom and collaboration with school staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to interact positively with students.
• Ability to assist students in a variety of situations.

Responsibilities

• Track behaviors of general education students identified by SST through MTSS.
• Work with students identified by the SST who exhibit behavioral/emotional issues.
• Track student contracts for completion and signatures.
• Provide direct behavioral support by prompting, redirecting and reinforcing positive behavior.
• Collaborate with teachers, social workers, school psychologists and other staff.
• Support students in transitions and less structured environments (hallways, lunchroom, etc.).
• Assist and support students in crisis and collect required data.
