Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Paraeducator qualifications: associate degree or 48 credits or passing score on assessment.
• Knowledge of Title I requirements applicable to paraeducators.

Responsibilities

• Track and monitor behaviors of general education students identified by SST.
• Collect behavioral data (frequency, duration, ABC) and share with SST.
• Support targeted students to promote positive behaviors and emotion regulation.
• Assist with transitions and de-escalation in classrooms, hallways, lunch, and common areas.
• Provide non-clinical behavioral support using trauma-informed PBIS strategies.
• Escalate safety concerns to licensed staff per district protocol.
