Job summary

Granite Schools is seeking a Paraeducator & Instructional Assistant/Behavior Health Assistant in Utah. The role supports students with the general curriculum, requires attendance and direct supervision, and involves collaboration with social workers and teachers.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing and math skills required.
• Ability to interact positively with students.
• Ability to assist students in a variety of situations.

Responsibilities

• Track student behaviors identified by SST through MTSS.
• Support students with behavioral and emotional needs.
• Monitor contracts and obtain signatures as needed.
• Promote positive behaviors and de-escalate negative behaviors.
• Collaborate with teachers, social workers and psychologists.
• Check on students to reinforce positive behavior.
• Provide direct behavioral support and prompting.
• Support students in hallways, lunchroom, assemblies and recess.
• Assist students in crisis and collect required data.
