Job summary

Family of Kidz is seeking a Behavior Consultant / BCBA for the Eastern Long Island, NY area. The role offers part-time, fee-for-service or full-time employment with compensation options ranging from hourly to annual.

Responsibilities include collaborating with school teams, conducting FBAs, designing BIPs, data analysis, and providing coaching to staff. The position requires NYS BCBA/BCABA or LBA, a Master's degree, and travel between districts; benefits are available for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, Educational/Health/Human Services.
• NYS BCBA, NYS BCABA Certification and/or LBA required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience supporting children and families.
• NYS Driver’s License and Proof of Insurance.
• Bilingual is a plus.
• Willingness to travel between assigned school districts.

Responsibilities

• Partner with school staff and families to develop individualized behavioral supports.
• Conduct FBAs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify the function of behavior and develop effective intervention strategies.
• Design, implement, and monitor BIPs aligned with student needs and educational goals.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data to evaluate student progress and make data-driven recommendations.
• Develop practical, classroom-based behavioral supports that promote student independence and engagement.
• Provide ongoing coaching, modeling, and performance feedback to classroom staff.
• Collaborate with school teams to support IEPs and ensure behavioral programming aligns with educational objectives.
• Travel between districts to provide on-site consultation and support.
