Job summary

Dragonfly Cares is seeking dedicated Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) and Behavior Technicians (BT) for full-time, school-based roles in Nassau County, NY. You will provide 1:1 ABA therapy to students on the autism spectrum within a school setting, collaborating with supervising BCBAs and school staff to support learning and behavior goals.

This daytime, Monday–Friday schedule follows the school calendar, with no evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Availability for full school-day hours, Monday through Friday.
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, special education, or a related field (preferred, not required).
• Minimum of 1 year of ABA experience (preferred).
• Previous school-based or special education experience (preferred).
• Experience working with children with autism or developmental delays is a plus.
• Reliable transportation to school districts.
• Excellent communication, patience, empathy, and a passion for helping others.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 ABA therapy and behavioral support under BCBA supervision throughout the school day.
• Implement and monitor behavior intervention plans aligned with each student’s learning goals.
• Collect and record accurate data on student behavior and progress.
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, school staff, and clinical supervisors.
• Maintain detailed, professional documentation that meets school and agency standards.
• Participate in supervision and ongoing trainings to strengthen your clinical skills.
