Job summary

Old Colony YMCA in Taunton, MA is seeking a Site Coordinator for the School Age licensed program. You will plan and implement a activity program that keeps children safe while providing entertainment, physical challenge, and learning experiences, and supervise the program staff.

Under the supervision of the School Age Director, you will uphold the YMCA mission, foster the core character values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility, and ensure program efficiencies and compliance with

Qualifications

• Minimum age 20 or older.
• S. or BA with 9 months experience in school age children, or HS diploma/equivalent plus 1 year experience with school age.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
• Evidence of physical examination within last 12 months.
• Negative Mantoux TB test and immunity for measles, mumps, and rubella.
• Ability to create and sustain a culture of excellence and work as part of a cohesive team.
• Will lift/move heavy equipment and assist with cleaning when necessary.
• Occasional early mornings, late nights and weekends.
• Strong oral communication skills for public speaking responsibilities.
• Able to sit, stand, bend, lift up to 75lbs occasionally and 40lbs frequently (children).
• Understanding of Y-USA's three focus areas: Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.
