Job summary

Old Colony Y in Pembroke, MA is seeking a Group Leader to assist in supervising the school-age program under the Site Coordinator. You will help maintain a safe, healthy, and constructive environment aligned with the Y's mission.

Requirements include 18+, 6 months of school-age experience, CPR/AED and First Aid, health exam, TB and MMR immunity, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends.

Qualifications

  • 18+ years of age and 6 months of school-age experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
  • Evidence of a physical examination within the last 12 months.
  • Negative Mantoux TB test and immunity for measles, mumps, and rubella.
  • Ability to create and sustain a culture of excellence and work as part of a cohesive team.
  • Ability to lift/move heavy equipment and clean when necessary.
  • Will sometimes work early morning, late nights, and weekends.
  • Strong oral communication skills required for occasional public speaking responsibilities.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift up to 75 lbs on occasion and 40 lbs frequently (children).
  • Ability to understand Y-USA's three focus areas: Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.
