Job summary

Old Colony YMCA in Taunton, MA is looking for an Assistant Group Leader to help supervise the program and ensure a safe, healthy, and constructive environment for all children involved. The role supports the YMCA mission and code of conduct, promoting caring, responsibility, honesty and respect.

Requirements include CPR/AED and First Aid, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally and 40 lbs frequently.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16 or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
• Health exam within last 12 months.
• Negative TB test and immunity to measles, mumps, rubella.
• Ability to work as part of a cohesive team and uphold excellence in the YMCA mission.
• Ability to lift/move heavy equipment and clean when necessary.
• Availability for early mornings, late nights and weekends.
• Strong oral communication for occasional public speaking.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs occasionally and 40 lbs frequently.
• Understanding and uphold Y-USA focus areas: Youth Development, Healthy Living, Social Responsibility.
