The YMCA of the Suncoast is seeking a Youth Development Program Site Director to oversee a School-Age Program site at Pleasant Grove Elementary in Inverness, FL. The role ensures programming aligns with YMCA values, meets licensing, supports youth development, and builds strong relationships with children, families, staff, schools, and the community.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a child-related field preferred.
• Meet qualifications to be a staff member in charge (SMIC).
• Minimum of 2 years of childcare and staff supervision experience.
• Knowledge of youth development practices and child behavior management.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required within 90 days of hire.
• Must complete state-mandated training (MODS) within 12 months.
• Florida Director Credential preferred.
• Must meet YMCA of the Suncoast driving criteria.
• Lifeguard & Listen First certifications preferred (if applicable).

Responsabilidades

• Oversee daily operations of the site to ensure a safe, nurturing environment.
• Design lesson plans focusing on social-emotional learning, academic support, and enrichment.
• Monitor program quality and ensure licensing requirements are met; maintain records.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate program staff and volunteers.
• Facilitate weekly planning meetings and align with YMCA values and policies.
• Engage families and community; represent the YMCA at school events and meetings.
• Assist in budget preparation; monitor finances and manage fee collection.
• Ensure safety and emergency response procedures and maintain spaces and equipment.
