Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Phoenix seeks a Supervisor to manage daily operations of a scheduling group, supervising Appointment Specialists and Schedulers, while addressing patient and department issues and maintaining quality standards.

The role requires leadership, communication, and strong organizational skills. Expect HR duties, performance appraisals, interviewing, staffing, and developing staff in a fast-paced environment on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Must have demonstrated leadership, communication (oral and written), self-initiative, and problem-solving ability.
• Must be highly organized, efficient, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of Appointment Specialists and/or Schedulers within a designated scheduling group.
• Provide scheduling technical and quality assurance resolution to patient/department complaints.
• Represent the group on leadership committees/projects and handle HR forms and consultations.
• Conduct performance appraisals and interview candidates for open positions.
• Organize staff meetings and bi-weekly timekeeping for staff.
• Oversee staffing, coaching and development, and area productivity and service improvements.
