Texas Health Rockwall is seeking a Scheduling Specialist to support multi-department scheduling and patient access, ensuring accurate and timely coordination of procedures. The role emphasizes clear communication with patients and medical staff to minimize scheduling errors and maintain efficient workflows.

Ideal candidates will have healthcare experience, relevant office skills, and familiarity with medical terminology; CHAA certification is a plus.

Formación

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• One year of health care experience including customer relations required.
• Two years of professional office/healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of medical terminology or certification is preferred.
• Six months call center experience preferred.
• CHAA – Certified Healthcare Access Associate upon hire preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and schedules procedures for multiple departments in an accurate and timely manner.
• Selects appropriate procedures and ICD diagnosis, referral, provider, visit type or case, insurance network coverage and location to expeditated patient access to care.
• Effectively communicates with patients, physician office scheduling, surgery scheduling, and/or other necessary staff as needed to reduce appointment time/date errors.
• Verifies medical necessity criteria to ensure documentation in compliance with applicable payor guidelines.
• Participates in special projects or completes other duties as assigned.

Work hours: Full Time; 40 hours/week; Monday - Friday & Saturday; 8am-4:30pm

Here’s What You Need

Texas Health Hospital Rockwall has served Rockwall, Kaufman, Hunt, and surrounding counties since 2007. Our 105-bed acute care hospital provides medical and surgical services to patients from Rockwall, Heath, Fate, Royse City, McLendon-Chisholm, eastern Dallas County, southern Collin County, and nearby communities.
