Texas Health Resources, Inc. is seeking an Appointment Scheduling Specialist for the Heart & Vascular Specialists Clinic in Dallas. This full-time, day-shift role supports scheduling for inpatient and outpatient procedures, tests and referrals, with travel to Plano and Rockwall clinics up to 25% of the time.

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Appointment Scheduling Specialist Process.
• Schedules all inpatient and outpatient procedures, tests, and referrals by the physician.
• Answers phone calls and schedules patient appointments; conducts pre-certification for coverage.
• Collects fees such as co-pays/co-insurance, gathers insurance information and patient data.
• Demonstrates professional customer service in all patient, staff, and visitor contacts.

Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Travel: 25% to our Plano & Rockwall, Sunnyvale clinics ( mileage reimbursement provided)

What You Will Do

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Appointment Scheduling Specialist Process
• Schedules all inpatient and outpatient surgery and medical procedures, tests and studies by the physician.
• Responsible for answering phone calls and scheduling patient appointments, conducting patient pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care, scheduling tests, procedures, and referral appointments.
• Communicates with patients regarding appointments and instructions for procedures and tests and may collect fees such as co-pays / co-insurance, gathers insurance information and patient personal data.
• Demonstrates positive professional customer service in all patient, staff, and visitor contacts, and performs other duties as assigned.
