Texas Health Rockwall in Rockwall, TX is hiring a Charge Nurse for the Operating Room. This full-time day shift role requires Texas RN licensure, OR experience, and strong leadership abilities. Training at the corporate Arlington office is required during the first 1–5 days of hire.

You will oversee unit operations, collaborate with the care team, and maintain high standards of patient care in a fast-paced setting. Excellent benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• RN license in Texas is required upon hire.
• ACUTE CARE nursing experience is required; 2+ years preferred.
• Operating room experience is strongly preferred; nurse leadership is valued.
• BCLS certification required before providing independent patient care.

Charge Nurse - Operating Room Full Time Days

Work location: Texas Health Rockwall - 3150 Horizon Rd, Rockwall, TX 75032

Work hours: Full-Time, 40 hours weekly, Day shift, including weekend and on-call requirements

Training: Must be able to attend training at the corporate office in Arlington from 8am-5pm during the first 1-5 days of hire.

Here's What You Need

• Nursing Diploma required or
• Associate's degree in Nursing required or
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• 1 year experience as registered nurse in an acute care setting required; 2 years preferred
• 2 years of operating room experience strongly preferred; operating room Charge Nurse experience is preferred
• Texas RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire and
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required upon hire and maintained quarterly and
• A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

• The Charge Nurse role will be committed to developing their individual knowledge and skills, as well as advancing the profession of nursing and engaging in lifelong learning/development.
• This role directly assists leadership on a particular unit or units and shift, by offering staff guidance and support, maintaining a clean and safe work environment and ensuring unit operational tasks are completed.
