Texas Health Rockwall is seeking a Scheduling Specialist to coordinate patient appointments across multiple departments. You will ensure accurate scheduling, verify information, and maintain strong patient flow in a fast-paced clinic.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, healthcare/customer service experience, and solid communication skills. The role offers full-time hours, benefits, and a collaborative team environment at Texas Health Rockwall.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• One year of health care experience including customer relations required.
• Two years of professional office/healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of medical terminology or certification is preferred.
• Six months call center experience preferred.
• CHAA - Certified Healthcare Access Associate upon hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedules procedures for multiple departments in an accurate and timely manner ensuring maximum productivity and expedient patient flow.
• Selects appropriate procedures and ICD diagnosis, referral, provider, visit type or case, insurance network coverage and location to expeditated patient access to care.
• Effectively communicates with patients, physician office scheduling, surgery scheduling, and/or other necessary staff as needed to reduce appointment time/date errors.
• Verifies medical necessity criteria to ensure documentation in compliance with applicable payor guidelines.
• Participates in special projects or completes other duties as assigned.
