Job summary

Texas Health Rockwall is seeking a Registered Nurse to float across ICU, Emergency, Med Surg, and Telemetry units during night shifts. You will support a fast-paced environment with strong governance and updated technology while ensuring high-quality patient care.

Requirements include a Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree; 1 year RN experience with ICU exposure preferred, and Texas RN license with BCLS/ACLS/PALS/CPI as applicable. Training at Arlington office may be required.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• 1 year RN experience; ICU/critical care experience strongly preferred.
• Texas RN license required upon hire; BCLS/ACLS/PALS/CPI certifications as specified.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across ICU, Emergency, Med Surg, and Telemetry via float assignments.
• Adhere to safety, confidentiality, and patient-centered care standards.
• Engage families and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team.

Work location:

Texas Health Rockwall - 3150 Horizon Rd, Rockwall, TX 75032

Work hours:

Full Time, 36 hours weekly, Nights 7pm-7am including weekends and holidays, no call, self-scheduling – Float to ICU, Emergency, Med Surg, and Telemetry units within the Rockwall hospital

Training:

Must be able to attend training at the corporate office in Arlington from 8am-5pm during the first 1-5 days of hire.

Here’s What You Need

• Nursing Diploma required or
• Associate’s degree in Nursing required or
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
• 1 year experience as registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
• 1 year of ICU or critical care experience strongly preferred
• Texas RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire and
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required upon hire and maintained quarterly
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire and
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required within 90 days of hire and
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required within 90 days of hire and maintained annually
