Responsibilities

• Schedule outpatient procedures by phone with patients and offices.
• Coordinate multiple procedures for same-day scheduling.
• Provide patients with instructions regarding procedures and arrival times.
• Enter demographic, billing and insurance data into scheduling and registration systems.
• Verify insurance and pre-cert/pre-auth information after verification.
• Assist billing with researching and resolving rejected or denied claims.
• Maintain scheduling accuracy threshold and document activities clearly.
• Follow hospital, state and federal guidelines for safety and compliance.
