Job summary

PVH Potomac Valley Hospital is seeking a Scheduling/Registration Coordinator to manage patient scheduling and registration with courteous, accurate data entry. You will schedule procedures, verify insurance, and coordinate multiple procedures to optimize same-day scheduling, while maintaining 95% accuracy and supporting billing processes.

Requires a high school diploma or MA degree/associate degree and 1 year of related experience; travel between facilities may be possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of recent experience in physician/hospital scheduling and registration or business office environment.
• MA degree or an Associate Degree may satisfy education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Schedule outpatient procedures via telephone with patients and offices.
• Coordinate procedures to ensure same-day scheduling when possible.
• Enter demographic, scheduling, and insurance information accurately.
• Validate orders against scheduled services and document actions taken.
• Assist billing with researching rejected or denied claims as needed.
