Job summary

Lexington Health, Inc. is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to manage advanced scheduling functions within our appointment systems and to coordinate provider schedules for clinics in West Columbia.

You will work closely with the office manager, business staff, and clinicians to optimize workflow and patient access. The role includes supervising scheduling team activities, loading new templates, and ensuring accurate pre-registration and timely updates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months scheduling experience in a healthcare setting.
• No substitutions for education/experience accepted.
• No required certifications/licensure.
• 6-month training/probationary period to demonstrate proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee appointment scheduling for one or more providers.
• Manage workflow of scheduling procedures including preregistration, follow-ups, and template loading.
• Reschedule due to provider absences and notify departments of changes.
• Enter orders in Epic-based systems when needed.
• Provide training to coworkers on scheduling activities.
• Answer calls, schedule appointments, and assist patients with questions.
• Assist in other clerical front-office duties as requested.
