Job summary

Towers Nursing Home in Smithville is seeking a Facility Staff Scheduler to manage scheduling for CNAs, CMAs, LVNs and RNs at the facility. The role focuses on ensuring adequate staffing to support quality care and a smooth onboarding process with HR.

You will minimize overtime, contact staff to fill shifts, participate in interviews when requested, and work closely with the Human Resources Coordinator to support onboarding activities.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of healthcare scheduling experience.
• Friendly and clear communication skills.
• Certified Nurse Aide or Charge Nurse experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule C.N.As, C.M.As, LVNs and RNs for shifts at the facility.
• Utilize the HRIS Scheduler to research openings at assigned locations.
• Sit in on applicant interviews when requested.
• Collaborate with the HR Coordinator to ensure smooth onboarding.
• Keep overtime to a minimum and cover last-minute absences by calling staff.
• Be on call for last-minute schedule changes.

Having adequate staffing coverage in a skilled nursing facility is directly related to quality of care.
