Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Scheduler I to support the Psychiatry Department at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA. This is a fully on-site role with a Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM schedule.

The position coordinates scheduling for patient procedures, registers patients, and ensures accurate data entry and timely status updates of appointments. Strong computer skills and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems, including Microsoft Office (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Access).

Responsibilities

• Registers all new and established outpatients upon arrival, verifying, collecting co-payments, and updating required information where needed.
• Statuses all appointments at the time of check-in and ensures charges posted.
• Rounds with patients in waiting areas and provides status updates.
• Monitors waiting areas for cleanliness and appearance.
• Collaborates with the LHMC Access Center to schedule patients and create access.
• Works on scheduling work queues and recall lists by calling patients to set up appointments.
