Job summary

Sovah Health is seeking a Scheduler for the Danville, VA location to support patient appointments and testing in a daily in-person role on weekdays. The scheduler will verify patient demographics, insurance, and orders, while coordinating with physicians and office staff to ensure accurate, timely care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Communicates instructions and necessary documents to patients or physician offices before appointments.

More About Our Team

Sovah Health is a regional health care delivery system with 2 hospital campuses - Danville and Martinsville. Each facility has a 24/7 Emergency Room, Outpatient Imaging Center, and over 20 primary and specialty care physician clinics. Our Danville location is also a teaching hospital that trains medical students and physician residents specializing in family and internal medicine.

How You'll Contribute

• Schedules patient appointments and testing. Ensures all patient demographic and insurance verification is complete and accurate.
• Communicates any special instructions, required tests, or other relevant documents to patient or physician office staff prior to appointment.
• Secures physician orders and obtains necessary insurance authorizations or pre-certifications.
• Reviews and monitors daily schedule reports.
